Flowers Care

Now you are ready to begin arranging your beautiful tropical flowers! There are a few ways to go about it. The easiest way to display your tropicals is to simply put them in a medium to large vase with water. Choose the largest or most interesting flowers as focal points. Then build the rest of your arrangement around your focal point , varying the height of the flowers.

The second method of arranging your flowers involves purchasing floral foam from a craft store, floral supply or garden center . Soak the floral foam according to the directions and then insert into your favorite vase. Now you are ready to begin inserting stems into the foam.

Unpack your flowers immediately . To restore turgidity to the plant cells and extend vase life , cut 1" off each stem and immerse entire flower in water at room temperature for 10 minutes. Use the box they arrived in if you don't have a tub or sink large enough. Cutting at an angle will allow maximum water absorption.
